The AI inside regulated firms, made visible and put on the record.

Skialex Group Ltd is an AI governance practice serving law firms, accountancy practices and financial advisers. We advise regulated firms on adopting AI they can account for, and we make Shadow Mapper, a tool that identifies unapproved AI use across a firm's systems.

The market we serve

Regulated firms are using AI that was never approved, assessed or recorded.

Staff across professional firms have adopted AI tools on their own initiative, often with client-confidential material. Most firms cannot say which tools are in use, what data reaches them, or who checked the output.

That is a supervision problem rather than a technology one, and supervision is something these firms are required to evidence to their regulator, their insurer and their clients. Our work is to close that gap.

Services

Two advisory practices, trading now.

AI Advisory

Strategy, governance and adoption for regulated firms: assessing where AI can be used safely, writing the governance that permits it, and training staff to work within it.

  • Governance and compliance frameworks
  • Use-case assessment and prioritisation
  • Policy, training and board reporting

Cloud Advisory

Advice on where client data sits and who processes it, including migration to European or UK-hosted alternatives where jurisdiction is the issue. Vendor-neutral.

  • Data residency review
  • Processor and sub-processor mapping
  • Migration scoping

Our product

Shadow Mapper

Shadow Mapper identifies unapproved AI tool use across a professional firm's systems, scores what it finds against that firm's regulatory obligations, and produces a written AI Governance Report the firm can put in front of its regulator, auditor or insurer.

The assessment is disclosed to staff and works from network metadata alone. It is a governance exercise, not employee monitoring, which is what makes it acceptable to the partners of a professional firm.

It is delivered both directly and through compliance consultancies, managed IT providers and outsourced DPOs to their own client bases.

Metadata only. No content interception, no keystroke logging, no screen capture.

Product and technical documentation available on request.

What an assessment actually looks like.
